Our Story

LabelFood started because we were tired of watching chefs and kitchen managers struggle with allergen labelling every service. We'd seen food businesses get caught out by Natasha's Law, watched teams scribble labels by hand, and dealt with the stress of EHO inspections.

We built LabelFood for the real kitchen environment — quick barcode scan, print, done. So you can focus on cooking, not paperwork.

Natasha's Law

Food Information Amendment 2019

Requires a full ingredient list with all 14 allergens emphasised in bold on every PPDS (pre-packed for direct sale) item. LabelFood prints allergens in bold on every label, automatically.

FSA guidance

Food Information Regulations 2014

England / Wales / Scotland

Governs mandatory label information for prepacked food: product name, ingredient list, allergens, date marking, and nutrition declaration. LabelFood covers all fields, including nutrition values via configurable custom fields on each product.

EU Regulation 1169/2011 (FIC)

Retained post-Brexit · Northern Ireland

Requires nutrition declaration on prepacked food: energy (kJ + kcal), fat, saturates, carbohydrates, sugars, protein, and salt (per 100g/ml). LabelFood supports all 8 fields as label custom fields, pre-configured as defaults.
